Driving at New Delhi Station
The station has two sides with very different approaches. The Paharganj side, next to Platform 1, opens onto crowded Chelmsford Road and the Main Bazaar, while the Ajmeri Gate side, near Platform 16, connects to Bhavbhuti Marg and Minto Road and is generally easier to drive out of. New Delhi metro station, on the Ajmeri Gate side, serves the Yellow Line and the Airport Express Line. Connaught Place is a few minutes away, and from there roads lead to Ring Road, NH48 and Mathura Road. Traffic around both entrances is slow for most of the day.
