Driving at Kashmere Gate
The ISBT sits on Ring Road beside the Yamuna, at the northern edge of Old Delhi. Kashmere Gate metro station is a three-way interchange for the Red, Yellow and Violet Lines, so it is easy to reach from almost anywhere in the city. Heading north-west, roads via Azadpur lead to Mukarba Chowk and NH44, the main highway to Sonipat, Panipat and Chandigarh. Avoid cutting through Chandni Chowk and the Old Delhi lanes to the south, which are slow and partly closed to cars. Civil Lines, just to the north, is calmer and has easier parking.
How handover works
The handover happens in the ISBT parking area or at a quieter spot just outside the terminal, agreed by phone when your bus is close. Allow a few minutes for the walk from the arrival bays to the parking area.
